Friendship Quilters of San Diego
Kay Lettington's Galleria !
"Jungle Jumble", a "Convergence" top for a class at Amidon Quiltworks. To be quilted soon ;-)
"October 2003", another "Convergence" top. Can we ever forget those wild fires of last fall?
"Monet by K", another "Convergence" top.
"Over the Housetops, 2003", a Christmas Tree skirt made for my daughter, Kristen. Here is a close-up of Rudolph over the housetop, and here is a close-up of Santa in his sleigh.
"Jimminy Cricket and the Party Animals" went to the San Diego Quilt Show.
"Double Wedding Ring" is may latest effort with my own pattern, a little different from Kristen's wedding quilt. I think I have it down now but it has been a struggle. This one also
machine pieced by me and machine quilted by Carolyn Roynolds - another superb job! I just got it back from Carolyn and haven't yet added the binding. I'll replace this photo
when I have it all finished.
"Snow Buddies" will soon be a class at Amidon QuiltWorks. Take a look here at some of the blocks for this charming seasonal quilt.
Kites are popular at this time of the year - sooooo, GO FLY A KITE !!!
For Mary Baker This black and white (with splashes of red) flannel rag quilt was made for Mary Baker as a birthday gift. I'm not telling which one!
Kristen's Wedding Our daughter, Kristen, was married on May 4, 2002. This is the Double Wedding
Ring quilt I made for her and Matt. I drafted my own pattern to duplicate a DWR quilt top my Mother had pieced over 70
years ago. It is machine pieced by me and beautifully machine quilted by Carolyn Reynolds. Some day I hope to hand quilt
the top my Mother made.
For Mabel "There's Always One in Every Crowd" This quilt was made by a small group for Mabel Clark. Although Mabel is not a member of the Guild, many of you know her from Amidon Quiltworks or other places in the San Diego Quilting community. I think those of you who do know her will agree this is befitting of her personality.
The Kids This quilt is one of several variations on this design I have made recently. It is also a class at Amidon Quiltworks. It is machine pieced and machine quilted. The "Kids" are paper pieced and hand appliqued.
For "Sunshine" This one is for my newest Granddaughter - Phoebe Emma Lettington, born November 17, 2001.
